The latest edition of the Talent Development Programme (TDP) Community Day brought together former participants and MET leaders to welcome the programme's newest talents as they begin their two-year development journey within MET Group.

This year's new participants are:

·       Facundo Lucero, a Milan-based Junior Gas Dispatcher who will relocate to Baar to work alongside Simone Turri, Chief Commercial Officer of MET International.

·       Koppány Pataky, Finance Assistant to the Holding CFO, who will take on a Finance Management Associate role and work closely with Noubi Ben Hamida, Holding CFO and CFO of Renewables & Assets at MET Group.

First Steps in the TDP

The day began with a dedicated onboarding session led by Tünde Tóth, Group HR Director, and  the Group Talent  team, represented by Zita Erős and Gabriela Mihoci. The new participants were congratulated on their selection and received an overview of the opportunities, challenges, and development milestones that await them during the programme.

Following the HR session, Facundo and Koppány met top management and Heads of business divisions within MET Group, gaining first-hand insights into the company's operations and strategic priorities from the leaders responsible for them.

The sessions were followed by an informal lunch with senior leaders as well as former and current TDP participants, providing an opportunity to connect with the wider TDP community, learn about their experiences, and hear how the programme has supported their professional growth within MET.

Shaping Future Leaders: A Session with Huibert Vigeveno

A highlight of the day was a special session hosted by Huibert Vigeveno, CEO of MET Group. Drawing on his own leadership experience, he shared valuable perspectives on talent development and effective leadership.

Among his key messages were the importance of creating a compelling vision and translating it into tangible actions, inspiring and motivating others, and developing the ability to view challenges through different perspectives, in order to better understand nuances and make informed decisions. He also shared practical reflections on maintaining a healthy work-life balance throughout a professional career, by finding a balance that works for each individual.

Artificial Intelligence: From Personal Journeys to Business Impact

This year's TDP Community Day focused on artificial intelligence and its role as a business shaper and accelerator. Both current and former programme participants presented their individual AI-generated book covers, creatively supporting their elevator-pitch introductions and showcasing their journeys within MET Group to the rest of the community.

The presentations offered a unique glimpse into the diverse backgrounds, ambitions, and personalities of the participants, while also serving as a starting point for a broader discussion on the role of AI in business.

The conversation continued in a dedicated session with Stijn Hamstra, CIO of MET Group, who explored the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence and digital transformation for the energy sector and beyond.

The day concluded with an informal celebration that brought the entire TDP community together over drinks and flying dinner, marking the beginning of this exciting new chapter.

About the Talent Development Program

Established in 2017, the TDP was created to identify high-potential professionals and accelerate their development through on-the job learning, training, strategic projects, and mentorship from senior leaders. Over the years, it has become a powerful catalyst for developing the next generation of MET leaders. As participants embark on this new chapter, they join a community united by ambition and curiosity, helping to shape the future of MET Group.

We look forward to following Facundo and Koppány's journey and seeing the impact they will make across the business.
