Showcasing MET Group’s Unique Story

E-World offers the opportunity to showcase all aspects of MET Group to the European energy industry. This year marked MET’s boldest presence at E-world yet, with more than  60 MET colleagues from 19 countries present.

The striking stand underscored the company’s ambition to be a major player in the European energy industry – and beyond. The stand showcased MET Group’s customerfocused approach, its unique story, its energy and agility, and the diverse range of supply solutions it can offer to customers. Drawn in by this energy, those who weren’t already familiar with the MET story quickly learned more.

The energy of E‑World is infectious. With exhibitions, side events, music, food, and drink around every corner, more than 37,000 delegates from 126 nations explored the exhibition floors in Essen, Germany. With over 1,100 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, the event truly reflects the depth and breadth of the European energy sector – spanning LNG suppliers, power producers, renewable energy developers, energy trading, infrastructure operators, data and analytics providers, district heating companies, technology innovators, and specialist recruitment firms, to name just a few.

The 2026 programme spotlighted the key forces reshaping Europe’s energy landscape – from digitalization and new energy systems to climate solutions and emerging technologies. Its expert forums offered a sharp view of the trends and challenges defining the energy transition.

The event provides a realtime snapshot of what is happening across the industry, enabling MET to take the temperature of the market, understand the challenges companies are facing, and continue offering the best possible service to its customers. This helps further develop MET’s customerbackwards approach – where MET builds solutions around customer needs and supports them throughout their entire energy journey.

Networking and Walking the Conference Floor

E‑World presents networking opportunities that enable MET Group to develop and foster longterm relationships and business partnerships, giving top management and experts the chance to meet the European energy industry in one place. The MET stand – with its dedicated meeting rooms allowed existing and prospective clients to meet in the MET environment and see the MET machine in full operation.

A particular highlight was welcoming the Swiss delegation – Walter Steinmann, Zipporah Segessenmann, CEO of Swissgas AG, and Eric Jakob, Consul General of Switzerland in Frankfurt a.M. – where MET colleagues had the pleasure of sharing the company’s vision as a leading European energy business headquartered in Switzerland. The bustling atmosphere created a relaxed and welcoming setting for doing business, offering the chance to make rapid progress with multiple counterparties in the same place at the same time.

MET staff not only develop new business leads through strategic meetings, but also make valuable informal connections as they walk the conference floor – one of the things that makes EWorld such a unique opportunity. It also gives MET Group employees the chance to explore the exhibition, reconnect with former colleagues and friends across the industry, and maintain strong relationships throughout the European energy community.

However, E‑World is just the beginning – the work doesn’t end there. MET staff build on the relationships and leads developed at the conference to drive business forward throughout the rest of the year – bringing new energy to Europe.
