In line with MET Group’s strategy to increase the focus on asset management activities, Balázs Gábor Lehőcz receives a dual mandate: as of 22 June 2018 he is appointed as Profit Centre Owner of the newly created CEAM (Central European Asset Management) profit centre, and as Chief Executive Officer of MET Group’s latest acquired company, TIGÁZ.
MET Group’s asset portfolio has expanded with its latest acquisition of Hungary’s largest gas distribution operator company, TIGÁZ. It also includes Dunamenti Powerplant in Százhalombatta, Hungary's biggest gas-fired power plant, and the currently built solar power plant Dunai Solar Park also in Százhalombatta, one the largest ones in Hungary with its 17,6 megawatt capacity when starting its operation in autumn 2018.
In his new role, Balázs Gábor Lehőcz will be responsible for overseeing the DSO (Distribution System Operator) activities, the first task being the successful integration of Tigáz into MET Group, managing conventional power generation activity, and developing the renewables business unit.
Balázs Gábor Lehőcz joined MET Group on 1 September 2013 as Chief Executive Officer of MET Power Hungary. He has also been acting as Dunamenti’s Board Chairman since July 2014 and as CEO of Dunamenti since March 2015.
Balázs Gábor Lehőcz is also member of the Supervisory Board of Dunamenti Powerplant.
