The pan-European energy company already has a strong presence in the region, with subsidiaries in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, and Turkey – with a track record of customer-focused services built on a deep understanding of the local energy environment.
The establishment of MET Skopje allows MET Group to extend its services to customers in North Macedonia. As an independent pan‑European energy company, MET is well positioned to offer opportunities that are not yet available in the local market – drawing on the Group’s customer‑backwards model, which focuses on delivering energy solutions that fit customers’ needs. MET is committed to understanding individual requirements and tailoring specific products accordingly.
The new subsidiary will be led by CEO Dalibor Stojevski. Before joining MET Group to establish MET Skopje, Dalibor built a strong track record in North Macedonia’s energy sector, including roles in commercial operations and power‑plant environments.
MET Group recently started electricity and gas trading activities in the country and has been providing diversified and flexible products that help customers navigate a rapidly changing market environment. MET Skopje are already selling gas to end customers and will focus on providing electricity at the wholesale level.
CEO Dalibor Stojevski said: “The establishment of MET Skopje is in line with MET Group’s strategy to focus on emerging natural gas and electricity markets in Southeastern European countries. Our main objective is to support security of supply, whilst also introducing new and innovative products tailored to meet local needs.”
