Together in Motion: MET Group Sports Day

May 19, 2026
Swiss-based MET employees and MET alumni gathered at Sport Zugerland, Cham, to engage in the company’s sports day “Together in Motion” on 7 May. The event is part of the MET Alumni Club, launched in 2023 to maintain strong relationships with former colleagues, reconnect through various events, and potentially welcome alumni back to the company, while offering a number of benefits.

From tennis and table tennis to darts and mini golf, close to 70 current and former MET Group employees got involved in a wide range of sport activities. The afternoon also featured a special moment, with MET-sponsored rising tennis star Anna Piszter joining the event.

The event is part of MET Group’s ongoing connection with its growing MET alumni community – now made up of close to 400 former employees on group level. Each year, the company creates a space to catch up, reconnect, and keep those working relationships and friendships alive. The strength of that connection is clear in the growing number of ‘boomerang’ employees – currently 32 across the Group, representing 2.3% of the workforce – who leave to pursue new opportunities, only to return and continue their journey with MET.

To ensure everyone would still be able to walk the next day, the afternoon began with a yoga‑focused warm‑up, setting a light‑hearted and energetic tone for what was to come. From there, participants dispersed across the venue, taking part in table tennis, squash, pool, snooker, mini golf, and darts.

With a professional tennis player on hand, the courts quickly filled with colleagues of all abilities eager to get involved. Anna Piszter challenged more experienced players in a lively doubles match, while also showcasing her talent. Sponsored by MET Group since the summer of 2025, the Swiss-Hungarian player has a bright future ahead and has been ranked around 2,000 in the ITF Junior World Rankings over the past two years. Reflecting on the Together in Motion event, Anna said “I loved the energy, connection, and sense of community. It was a unique experience that left me feeling proud again to be sponsored by MET Group”.

A people-first culture

The wide range of sports and relaxed atmosphere brought colleagues together – from new joiners to alumni – connecting and reflecting on how far the company has come. The games carried on into the evening before tired arms and legs gave in, making way for a wellearned group dinner.

Reflecting on the afternoon, MET Group’s HR Director, Tünde Tóth, said: “Together in Motion exemplifies the people-first culture at MET Group, underlining the belief that employees are at the core of the company’s success.”

Events such as this are a clear indication of why MET Group has been awarded the Top Employer certification in Switzerland for the past three years, reflecting a culture focused on wellbeing, a high-quality work environment, and employee development. MET Alumni events will continue throughout the year, with upcoming gatherings in Budapest on 1 October and Bucharest on 17 September, building on the strong connections and positive momentum created in Switzerland.
