Hosted at the Budapest Continental City Golf Club, the event offered participants a unique experience in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Alumni from different generations of MET came together, strengthening existing relationships and getting to know new faces within the wider MET family.
Welcoming guests to the venue, Márton Szepfy, Chief Executive Officer of E2 Hungary, reflected on the values that linked the evening's activities with the spirit of the MET community: "The MET Alumni Get-together programme is especially close to my heart. Much like golf, achieving success requires perseverance, focus, continuous learning, and respect for others. These values have always been at the core of how we work and grow together, and they were evident throughout the evening."
Following a welcome drink, participants had the opportunity to try their hand at golf under the guidance of professional instructors.
The activity provided an engaging setting for conversations, recreating the atmosphere often associated with building lasting professional relationships on the golf course.
As the sun set and participants celebrated increasingly confident and accurate shots, the community gathered for welcome remarks from Eszter Szekeres, Chief Executive Officer of MET Hungary, and Kori Jellen, Chairman of the MET Alumni Club.
Eszter Szekeres highlighted the importance of the people who have shaped MET's journey: "MET's story is ultimately the story of the talented and ambitious people who helped build the company into what it is today."
Kori also emphasised the strength of the alumni network and the lasting relationships formed at MET: "I am especially happy to attend our third alumni event in Budapest. The connections, memories, and sense of community built at MET continue long after colleagues leave the company."
A dinner and informal networking session brought the evening to a close, providing the perfect opportunity to celebrate another successful season of MET Alumni events.
We look forward to meeting again at future get-togethers and continuing to strengthen the connections that make the MET Alumni Community so special.
