We are delighted to look back on our very first MET Alumni event in Bucharest in these last weeks, which brought together former colleagues, friends, and members of our growing alumni community for an unforgettable evening in Romania.
The event started on Thursday afternoon with a series of ice-breaking activities, bringing together current and former colleagues and creating opportunities to reconnect before the evening's networking, dinner, and drinks. Participants faced off on the tennis and padel court, setting the stage for an evening filled with conversations and shared memories.
It was a pleasure to hear the welcoming remarks of Florin Frunza, CEO of MET Romania, who hosted the event, followed by speeches from Tünde Tóth, HR Director of MET Group, and Kori Jellen, Chairman of the MET Alumni Club. They welcomed the attendees and shared reflections on the importance of creating opportunities to strengthen and grow the MET community.
The same spirit inspired the final two speeches before dinner, when boomerang colleagues Ioana Sava and Vlad Popescu, who returned to MET after pursuing opportunities elsewhere, shared their personal experiences with the audience. Their stories highlighted the value of reconnecting with former colleagues and demonstrated how the alumni network can help build meaningful connections across different generations of the MET community.
For all participants, the evening was a special occasion filled with positive energy, and it was inspiring to see how much people appreciated the opportunity to reconnect.
The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation highlighted the value of creating opportunities for MET Alumni to stay connected long after their time with the company.
