Both Benjámin and Ádám graduated as Energy Engineers before starting their careers at a TSO and the Paks Nuclear Power Plant respectively. At MET, they share responsibilities for project and business development at the Dunamenti Power Station. Their role is to explore and develop opportunities offered by the site and to take projects from initial concept to successful commercial operation.

On winning the award, Benjámin highlighted his personal development as something that he was very proud of. Having progressed from Project Assistant to leading a strategically significant largescale investment, he appreciated the trust and opportunity the company gave him, which allowed him to demonstrate his abilities to both himself and management. Benjámin also stressed the success of the 40 MW / 80 MWh battery energy storage system project, which was delivered on time and on budget – pushing MET 8-12 months ahead of the market.

Ádám was similarly proud of his achievements, particularly in project development where he contributed to deliver 74 MW of flexibility assets for MET. He believes the company will continue to offer opportunities that will fuel this sense of achievement for years to come.

Together, they hope to continue to deliver successful projects over the next five years and see promising new projects on to horizon which will require both creative thinking and deep technical expertise – an energy and mindset that Benjámin refers to as his “chi”.

Benjámin has recently become a father of twin boys. With the challenge of keeping daily operations running smoothly at home, he feels as if he recharges his batteries more at work these days. However, he calls this a “sweet kind of exhaustion”, relating it to any good project: “You perform something meaningful, even if things never go as planned.”

Ádám on the other hand relieves his stress by ensuring that he does something for himself everyday – even if it’s just a five-minute workout. Although the peak workloads and overtime involved in managing asset development often make his personal time less predictable, he still enjoys dancing and playing pool with friends.
