Gergely Szabó is the CEO of MET Group's Sales and Trading Segment, based in Baar (Switzerland).
He led MET Central Europe Sales between May 2024 and May 2026 as Regional Chairman. This is a division of MET Group, established at the beginning of 2024, incorporating the operations of former MET Central Europe and MET Gas and Energy Marketing (MET GEM). Prior to this, Gergely Szabó led MET Central Europe operations from 2019.
He is responsible for the strategic and business management of the expanding regional team operating in the Central Europe Sales markets, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. The regional group offers a broad portfolio of natural gas and electricity products and energy efficiency services to business partners in the SME and large industrial segments.
Gergely Szabó led MET Hungary from 2014 to 2024. Between 2020 and May 2024, he also managed METCE Hungary, which integrated the operations of MET Hungary and E2 Hungary. Between 2011 and 2014, he was the Managing Director of MET International.
